Heavy rainfall expected in Nagaland, other northeastern states next few days
DIMAPUR: Heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places in most northeastern states, including Nagaland from May 15 to the 19th, according to an update from the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday.
The update stated that heavy rainfall is very likely at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh on May 15 and 16, and in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura from May 15 to the 19th.
While predicting light/moderate widespread rainfall across the Northeast region over the next five days, the IMD said that isolated places in Assam and Meghalaya are expected to receive very heavy rainfall on May 16, 18 and 19.
The update went on to say that duststorm is very likely in isolated pockets over Rajasthan from May 15 to the 18th, and over Punjab, Haryana on May 15, while the rest of the country is not expected to experience any significant weather change.
