Patients from Manipur recovering at Kohima hospital, one discharged
KOHIMA: One of the patients from Kangpokpi district, who is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Kohima, was discharge on Monday, while the other seven are also recovering, said sources.
As many as eight injured persons from Kangpokpi district in violence-hit Manipur were brought to the hospital last week with most of them having bullet injuries.
Three patients, who were in critical condition, were admitted in the intensive care unit (ICU), while the rest were kept in wards for observation.
A member of the Kuki Nute Kiloikhom (Kuki Mothers’ Association) Nagaland, which has been assisting the family members of the injured persons at the hospital, said that one of the patients in the ICU was shifted to the ward on Sunday and one more is expected to follow suit soon.
‘One patient is still a little critical and is in the ICU. But otherwise, the rest are recovering and one was already discharged,’ the source added.
