KOHIMA — The Angami Students’ Union (ASU) will hold its 30th biennial general conference in Tuophema village under Kohima district from April 28 to the 30th on the theme, “Kemezhü Miatho” (Rational Integrity).

Announcing this during a press conference on Tuesday at ASU office in Kohima, the union and organising committee officials, informed that they are expecting 2000-2500 participants from Northern Angami Students’ Union, Southern Angami Students’ Union, Western Angami Students’ Union and Chakhroma Students’ Union from the four regions. 

After the introductory session with MLA Dr. Tseilhoutuo Rhutso on April 28, the union informed that Salhoutuono Kruse, minister of Women Resource Development and Horticulture will grace the inaugural session while Dr. Kekhrie Yhome, advisor of School Education and SCERT will speak during the inaugaral session on April 29.

It added that Rev. Fr. Dr. Pezalhoukho George Rino, post graduate coordinator of St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Jakhama, will be the speaker during the devotional service and the valedictory session will be attended by Hekani Jakhalu Kense, advisor of Industries and Commerce, on April 30.

The union further informed that a debate session on the topic “Is it time to lift the NLTP Act?” will be conducted during the conference.
