Mhonbemo seeks support to fulfill public aspiration
WOKHA — NCP MLA of 38 Wokha Assembly Constituency, Y Mhonbemo Humtsoe, has called upon the people of his constituency to forget the past differences and work for progress of society saying, ‘coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress, and working together is a success.’
Humtsoe stated this during a thanksgiving programme held in his Wokha village public ground on April 15. He urged the people to join hands and work together for the progress of the society stating an individual alone cannot do much.
He acknowledged the electorates of 38 Wokha AC for electing him in the recently conducted NLA election and affirmed his commitment to work for all. He opined that a true leader should provide good road, electricity, quality education and healthcare facilities. He has sought prayer and support from the people in order to achieve those facilities.
He also informed the government servants to give their best in their assigned duty. He also encouraged the educated youth to venture into various skills education and engaged in self-employment generation activities.
Former MLA and advisor to the chief minister, Dr. Chumben Murry, thanked the electorates of 38 AC Wokha for electing him twice to power in the past and for electing the present MLA Y Mhonbemo Humtsoe to be their leader. He also acknowledged the magnanimous attitude of Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, for accommodating him in the government.
Dr. Murry also called upon the people especially the residents of Wokha headquarters to give priority on cleanliness and to constantly pray for settlement of the long anticipated Naga political issue.
Short speeches were delivered by the president of NCP Nagaland, Vanthungo Odyuo, and the chairman of Lotha Hoho, Mhondamo Ovung.
