3000 Naga youth find job placement under DDUGKY
Dimapur: Mentioning that more than 3000 youth from Nagaland have found job placement after undergoing training under Deen Dayal Upadhaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDUGKY), the joint secretary of Rural Development and mission director of Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission (NSRLM), Imtimenla, has called upon the students and youth to take the trainings seriously stating that it immense avenues particularly for youth from rural areas.
Speaking at the NSRLM alumni meet under DDUGKY on Friday at Chümoukedima Town Council (CTC) hall, Imtimenla encouraged the youth to be dedicated and work hard in order to sustain themselves. She expressed gladness for enduring the struggles and considering themselves masters of their lives. As more than 3000 youth in the state have found job placement, she expressed hope that the programme would serve as encouragement to the current students.
She informed that the purpose of alumni meet was simply to create support mechanism where there would be exchange of ideas and sharing of programmes of the schemes mainly for the rural youth.
Stating that the programme is being conducted across the country, she encouraged the participants to excel in their work. She added that crores of money has been invested by both the state and central governments to provide free trainings to the students.
For those students who would be placed outside state after the training, she encouraged them to work harder to get more opportunities and get placements even abroad. She also advised them to learn to adjust on the environment, working hours, food habits, after getting placements outside the state saying, one should be mentally prepared to undergo necessary changes in lifestyles.
She also pointed out that Nagas are in high demand in the hospitality sector across the country. She further advised them to excel in their profession so that they might become trainers or start business through their work experiences from outside the state in future.

The alumni encouraged the current students to take the trainings seriously and to take the testimonies of the alumni as a living example on the potential of the training.
