Rengma Selo Zi demands high-level probe into March 23 incident

Dimapur: The Rengma Selo Zi (RSZ), the apex Rengma youth organisation, vehemently condemned the harassment committed by some miscreants on one of its member, Thanyalo Kath, who is serving as SDO (Electrical) in Mon.

“It has come to light that the incident occurred on March 23, 2023 wherein he was summoned by the miscreants and was threatened of dire consequences causing huge mental trauma. The incumbent officer was even forced to pay a hefty sum for his safe passage,” RSZ claimed.

The RSZ called upon all right thinking citizens to condemn “such a dastardly act committed against its own brethren”. 

“The RSZ will not shy away to attest on the integrity of its member Thanyalo Kath and strongly challenge the false allegations levelled against him. As such the RSZ demands a high-level probe into the incident and appropriate action taken against the perpetrators of the crime,” read the statement.

The RSZ also appealed to the government of Nagaland to ensure the safety and security of its officers wherever they are posted.
