Naga Mothers’ Association thanks political parties, congratulates women candidates
The Naga Mothers’ Association (NMA) has thanked various political parties for taking cognizance of its representation and giving tickets to intending women candidates in the recently concluded general election to the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA).
The association congratulated Salhoutuonuo Kruse and Hekani Jakhalu Kense, both from the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP), for winning the recent state poll and creating history by becoming first women to be elected to the NLA.
“The NMA believes that the NDPP will honour these two strong women by including them into the important ministry of the alliance government,” stated NMA in a press release.
The association also acknowledged other two women contestants Kahuli Sema (BJP) and Rosy Thomson (INC) for putting up a tough fight in the recently concluded Nagaland assembly election.
“The NMA wish all of them the very best in their political future and expect them to shine as fine examples for younger women to follow,” it stated.
