To ensure free and fair election, the Sumi Hoho has resolved to strictly prohibit opening of camps and messes so as to avoid unwanted situation. In this regard, the hoho has directed Kukami (GB), village councils and colony councils to implement its resolutions.
The resolution to this effect was taken during a consultative meeting with all the frontal organisations held on January 26.
While appreciating the Zunheboto district law enforcing agencies for checking the flow of intoxicated substances into the district, the hoho has appealed to further intensify checking on the flow of intoxicated substances into the district and also monitor the sale of such substances.
In an update, the hoho president, I Nikheto Jimomi, and the general secretary, Dr. Vihuto Asumi, called upon all the Sumi civil organisations and the Sumi churches to continue propagating ‘clean election’ for a free and fair election.
It further called upon the village councils, colony councils and elders to fully cooperate with the law enforcing agencies and election officials for the smooth conduct of election.
