Noklak Community Health Center to be upgraded to district hospital
Dimapur, Jan. 6 (EMN): Minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, unveiled the foundation stone for upgradating of the Noklak Community Health Center (CHC) to District Hospital during a programme held on January 5 in the presence of advisor of Prisons, Printing and Stationary, H Haiying.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister stated that the hospital would be upgraded by the government but maintained that the uplift and improvement of the hospital would mostly depend on the support of the local citizens, stated a DIPR report.
Pangyu thanked the land donors for their contribution and urged them to avoid causing disturbance during the construction of the district hospital.
He also requested the gathering to support the “vision, sincerity, and dedication of the leaders.”
In his speech, Haiying urged the citizens to work collectively leaving aside differences. He also expressed gratitude to the chief minister, Neiphiu Rio, the state government and the Medical department for taking up the initiative.
He further urged the Noklak citizens to “take responsibility and give positive support to the staff.”
The deputy commissioner of Noklak, TPRO president, and KTC vice president also attended the programme.
