Dimapur, Dec.7 (EMN): Tagged as “Pragati Ka Highway” and “Gati Shakti,” the union minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, on Tuesday tweeted that the 14.93 km project of 4-lane from Dimapur to Kohima road under Package I in the state of Nagaland will be completed this year.
The investment in the project was of INR 387 crore.
“The project will not only provide better connectivity between Nagaland and Manipur but also reduce the travel time to a great extend,” Gadkari tweeted.
It may be recalled that the scheduled completion of the road (Package I) was 2019. However, extension was made citing weather conditions after which Covid-19 pandemic took over.
The tweet and update on the project by the union minister was triggered after a series of Naga bloggers tagged and tweeted on the condition of the Dimapur to Kohima road in November.
