Dimapur, Nov. 13 (EMN): Agriculture minister, G Kaito Aye, inaugurated the much awaited blood bank at Hezükhu Memorial District Hospital in Zunheboto town on November 12.
The blood bank was an initiative by Hans Foundation, district administration and planning board, stated a DIPR report.
Speaking at the inaugural function, Kaito pointed out that many basic facilities were yet to be installed despite the Zunheboto District Hospital being established decades back. He has appealed to the medical fraternity of the district to utilise the facilities with utmost sincerity and continue working for the betterment of the society.
Brig. SS Kataria from the Hans Foundation appreciated the district administration led by the deputy commissioner, Rahul Bhanudas Mali, and the district development and planning board for coming up with the blood bank. He stated that Zunheboto district was privileged to avail the facility provided by the Hans Foundation.
Meanwhile, the deputy commissioner of Zunheboto, Rahul Bhanudas Mali, presented detail reports of the blood bank.
The dedicatory prayer of the blood bank was said pastor of SBCZ, Dr. Hutton Sumi.
