Ao student body demands Nagaland govt. to take action on teachers not reporting for duty
Dinapur, Nov. 11 (EMN): The Ao Students’ Conference (Ao Kaketshir Mungdang) has expressed displeasure over government school teachers not paying heed to the Directorate of School Education’s re-deployment orders issued on October 26 and then on November 1 with respect to Mokokchung district, instructing them to report to their new posting places within seven days.
Maintaining that it had learned about most teachers still not reporting to their posting places despite repeated directives from the government and student bodies, the AKM asked what action the concerned department has taken on the defaulters and steps needed to be taken in this regard.
“The negligence of both the teachers and the government is affecting the life and future of thousands of students in the district. Such non-compliance of orders and leniency of the government also reflects the state of affair in the state,” read the press release.
The AKM further demanded the concerned department to look into the matter with utmost urgency to ensure that education of the students is not affected in the fag end of the academic year.
