Nagaland Governor, Chief Minister extend Tokhu Emong greetings
Dimapur, Nov. 5 (EMN): Nagaland Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio have extended Tokhu Emong greetings to the Lotha community and the people of the state.
“This beautiful festival represents the rich cultural heritage of our people. It is a post-harvest festival and the people rejuvenate through the celebrations after a period of tremendous hard work in the field,” read message from the Raj Bhavan.
“Tokhii Emong signifies ending of all bitterness and strengthening the familial and social bonding. It is also a celebration of unity and gratitude. Let us always uphold these rich cultural legacies. May this auspicious occasion bring good health, peace and prosperity,” it added.
Rio also took to Twitter to greet the Lotha community on the auspicious occasion.
“Happy Tokhu Emong to our brothers and sisters from the Lotha community. May the festivities be joyful, foster brotherhood and goodwill among all sections of people,” he wrote.
