Karbi Anglong: EM KAAC assures release of pending salaries to teachers at the earliest

Diphu, Nov. 4 (EMN): With the news of teachers not getting salaries in Karbi Anglong making its rounds on social media, the Executive Member (EM) of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) Education, Richard Tokbi on Friday clarified that the Education Department is waiting for the grant-in-aid amount from the state government.
The Education Department of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) has been on the spotlight in social media for not giving salaries to the deprived teachers of Adhoc ME, high schools, higher secondary schools, and colleges.
The EM while clarifying before the media at his official chamber at KAAC Secretariat in Diphu on said that the amount will be immediately transferred to their accounts once the amount in released.
The KSA of the Semson Teron faction has spoken before the media criticising the Education Department for not giving 8 months’ salary to teachers engaged in both ME and high schools and those teaching in Diphu Govt. College and other colleges.
The EM appreciated Chief Executive Member (CEM), KAAC, Tuliram Ronghang as he has taken a strong initiative for the enhancement of salaries of teachers working in Adhoc ME and higher schools. The CEM has increased their salaries from INR 5000 to 12000 per month.
The leaders of KSA have extended gratitude to EM Richard Tokbi for taking immediate steps in solving the grievances of the teacher’s community.
