Dimapur, Oct. 30 (EMN): With an objective to promote fine arts in Nagaland and encourage budding artists, Wandering Minds organised its 1st inter-school painting competition on October 22 and the prizes were given away on October 29.
An update from Wandering Minds stated that a total of 427 students from 33 schools in and around Dimapur participated in the competition. It stated that a total of 10 consolation prizes along with the first, second and third winners were given away from each of the 16 categories.
It informed that LKG and UKG students from various schools were also presented with prizes in order to encourage more participation in the field of fine arts.
It stated that St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School was adjudged the champion team, while Little Star Higher Secondary School and Holy Cross Higher Secondary School secured the first and second runners-up prizes respectively.
Report further stated that the event witnessed art exhibitions where different artworks of the students were put up on display. Wandering Minds informed that it planned to make it as an annual event.
