Dimapur, Oct. 20 (EMN): The Tizit Area Students’ Union (TASU) organised its 5th edition of inter-high school tournament-cum-literary programme from October 17 to the 19th at Tizit local ground on the theme ‘Design your dreams.’
A total of 15 schools, inclusive of both government and private Institutions under Tizit area, participated in the event, an update stated.
In boys’ football, Holy Angels’ School, Tizit town, emerged champion and David School, Tizit Town, as runner-up. In girls’ volleyball, Govt. High School, Jaboka, bagged the champion’s trophy and M Jon School, Tizit town, took runner-up title.
Akap of David School bagged player of the tournament award in boys’ football and Neiwan of Govt. High School, Jaboka, won best player award in girls’ Volleyball.
David School was declared overall team champion of the tournament-cum-literary programme. Y Nchumbemo Jami, Sr. SDEO, Mon; Nathan Konyak, assistant election officer, Mon, and W. Kaiwang Konyak, assistant research officer, Art & Culture, Mon, were the special guests respectively during the three-day event, it stated.
