KAAC official inspects ongoing schemes at Langhin constituency

Diphu, Oct. 17 (EMN): Executive Member (EM), Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Transport and Food & Civil Supplies, Bilimohan Khaklary inspected the ongoing schemes of Jal Jeevan Mission at Uttor Borbil, Silpukuri and Podum Pukhuri under Langhin Member of Autonomous Council (MAC) constituency on Monday.

He was accompanied by VDC, Chairman, Langhin, Birsing Timung along with PHED officials. He asked the officials to speed up the work so that villagers can access pipe water facilities.

The EM also inspected the Pradan Mantri Gramodaya Yojana (PM-GY) housing scheme for rural people at Kalibari under the same MAC constituency. The PM-GY scheme is implemented by Howraghat Development Block.

The EM informed that there are more than 100 PM-GY housing schemes constructed and the beneficiaries are happy as there is no contractor and the beneficiaries are constructing the house themselves. The EM asked the beneficiaries to use the amount properly for the construction of the house as it is a benefit from the government.
