Dimapur, Oct. 16 (EMN): Two NCC cadets of Eastern Christian College (ECC) namely Joshua P Tsuqu and L Esther Khumao secured gold medals at the All India Vayu Sainik Camp (AIVSC-2022) held at Jodhpur from September 25 to October 5.
An update from the college stated that 12 NCC cadets from Nagaland including three from ECC comprised 38 cadets contingent from the Northeast region which attended the camp.
It mentioned that the All India Vayu Sainik Camp is the epitome of competitions for all Air Wing NCC cadets of India, where cadets from 17 directorates of the country take part in the event. It stated that the cadets were tested in various fields related to the Air Force pattern of syllabus in NCC.
The competitions included drill (with and without weapon), .22 rifle firing, skeet shooting, tent and line area, test on flying related subjects and health and hygiene thereby putting into check the overall training activities of Air Wing NCC.
Meanwhile, the college’s principal has expressed happiness on the achievements of its cadets and urged to keep supporting the NCC activities of the college even in the days to come.
