Dimapur, Oct. 15(EMN): The 5th Fitness Festival, initiated by Performing Arts with Fitness (PAWF) is set to be held on November 5, at Don Bosco School ground, Dimapur.

Addressing a press conference at Hotel Saramati on Saturday, the managing director of PAWF Nagaland Taienla Temjen said that the annual festival is aimed to educate the students from grassroots and make the children understand that fitness is a routine.

The one-day festival will have various activities and competitions such as fitness battle, tug-of-war, GX with PAWF Nagaland, and entertainment. It was informed that the opening ceremony will start from 11 am.

The entry fee for students will be INR 50 and INR 100 for adults.

There will also be inter-school group exercise competition where schools including Hope Academy, Livingstone Foundation International, Shalom Public School, Mt. Mary Higher Secondary School, Bethesda Higher Secondary School, Beanstalk and Sprig Blossom Academy are participating, and the winner will be given a trophy and certificate.

Under the GX featuring PAWF trainer, there will be zumba, PAWF hardcore, Les Mills body combat, body balance, strong nation and dance fitness.

Under the fitness battle, the categories are push-up competition for both men and women with a prize pool of INR 5000 each for winners, arm wrestling for men and women (above 65 kg and below 65 kg category) with a cash prize of INR 3000 for each and push up burpees for men and women with a cash prize of INR 5000 each.

There will also be tug-of-war between gyms across Nagaland, and the champions will receive a cash prize of INR 15000 with trophy.

During the entertainment session, Moko Koza, Sunep Lemtur,Kumzuk T Jamir and many more artistes will be performing in the event; there will also be special appearances from Moalong Yaden, Kenny Soru, Lily Hasnu, Toshiakum Ozukum, Athrong Zeliang ad Moa Ozz, it was informed.
