Dimapur, Oct. 2 (EMN): Lok Sabha Member of Parliament and chairperson of DISHA Nagaland, Tokheho Yepthomi, has requested the head of offices to be more responsible and ensure that there is no overlapping while implementing the centrally sponsored schemes in the district.
Yepthomi stated this during the 2nd quarterly meeting of the district development coordination and monitoring (DISHA) for Peren district held on September 29 in the conference hall of the DC’s office, stated a DIPR report.
Yepthomi informed the Peren district DISHA members that MPs have been directed by the Ministry of Rural Development to monitor the centrally sponsored schemes and also review the progress of various development and welfare-based programmes. He added that the MPs are directed to submit the progress report of the district quarterly which comes under their parliamentary constituency.
During the meeting, departments of Food and Civil Supplies, PWD (R&B), Agriculture, Horticulture, Land Resource, and PHED made a detailed powerpoint presentation of the achievements and progress under different centrally sponsored schemes and the status of the developmental projects being executed in the district.
