Dimapur, Sep. 25 (EMN): The number of active COVID-19 cases reduced to eight in Nagaland with two recoveries reported on Sunday.
The total number of COVID cases in the state stands at 35,953 while the state’s cumulative recoveries increased to 33,651 in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the death toll from the pandemic stands at 776.
Out of the eight active cases, four are asymptomatic, three mild and one moderate on oxygen.
In terms of district-wise distribution of active cases, Dimapur has four cases, and two each in Kohima and Wokha, while the remaining districts are currently COVID-free.
India logs 4,777 new COVID cases
With 4,777 new coronavirus infections being reported in a day, India’s total tally of COVID-19 cases rose to 4,45,68,114, while the active cases declined to 43,994, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Sunday.
The death toll climbed to 5,28,510 with 23 fatalities which includes 11 deaths reconciled by Kerala, the data updated at 8 am stated.
The active cases comprise 0.10 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate increased to 98.72 per cent, the ministry said.
