Doyang Land Owners’ Union demand cancellation of open tender

Dimapur, Sep. 20 (EMN): The Land Owners’ Union, Doyang Hydro Power Station (DHPS), Wokha has served a seven-day ultimatum to DHPS, Doyang to immediately cancel open tender invitations for various development projects citing ‘violation of agreement and policies’.

The Union has demanded cancellation of open tender for the supply of vehicles, providing steel roof structure, steel window and ventilators etc. at Permanent Colony DHPS, Doyang, repairing and renovation of North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO) IB guest house kitchen, a statement from the Union said on Tuesday.

It proposed a co-ordination meeting between the two parties after the cancellation for further course of action. The Union also warned to take its own course of action if DHPS failed to comply with the ultimatum.

“In the event of any untoward eventualities and situation arises, the DHPS shall be held the entire responsibilities,” it added.
