Dimapur, Sep. 11 (EMN): The pre-launch of Peren District Football League was held on September 10 at Indoor Stadium, Peren town, in commemoration of the 75th anniversary of Peren Township.
An update informed that executive engineer, Power department, Tsiamchi Ndang, was the special guest of the event. The special guest and logo designer, Philip Malangmei, unveiled the league logo with the theme ‘Rise as one, win as all.’
The anthem of Peren District Football Association (PDFA) was released by composer Namnahei Nza, president of Peren District Music Society.
Chairman, Peren Town Ward Chairmen Union, Gaigong Hegeu, delivered a speech on the 75th Year Anniversary of Peren Township.
PDFL 2022 season tickets were jointly released by EAC, Peren, Seyievilie Pfukri and SDO, PWD (R&B), Asembe Mbung. The official ball of the league was unveiled by executive engineer, PHED, Ichirang, it stated.
All the eight participating clubs were introduced and club jerseys were unveiled by the club promoters. The PDFL 2022 Champion Trophy was unveiled by the special guest and the PDFA Cup 2022 Winner Trophy by ADC Peren, Keyirangding Hegui.
The eight clubs participating in the first season of PDFL are Barak Football Academy, Native Feathers FC, Benreu FC, Northern Zeme Sports Association, Nsong Area Sports Association, Prime FC, Puiteing FC and Lekie Mtei FC. The league will kick off on October 4 at Jalukie B village ground, it stated.
