Kohima, Aug. 30 (EMN): The Koinonia Baptist Church (KBC) is organising an open football tournament commemorating its silver jubilee celebration — Jubilee Trophy 2022 — on the theme “Press towards the goal” for all believers (interdenominational) churches of men’s fellowship /men’s department (only) from October 20 till November 5.
A press release from the organising committee informed that the event will be held at two venues namely Meriema ground and Indira Gandhi Stadium (IGS) Kohima.
While the Jubilee Trophy 2022 will have a total cash prize of INR 2,70,000 along with certificates, trophies and citations, the champion team will receive INR 1,00,000, first runner-up INR 70,000 and the losing two semi-finalists will receive INR 30,000 each.
It added that the individual cash prize of INR 5000 each will also be awarded to highest scorer, best goalkeeper, best defender and best midfielder while the player of the tournament will be awarded INR 10,000.
The update stated that there will be limited issuance of entry form on first-come-first basis and it will be issued from September 13 to the 15th. The last date of entry form submission will be September, 20.
