Dimapur, Aug. 29 (EMN): Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE), an autonomous organisation under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, which is setting up an entrepreneurship development centre (EDC) at Kohima under the Sankalp Scheme, conducted a five-day training of trainers programme at IIE Campus, Guwahati, from August 22 to the 26th.
An update informed that the programme is sponsored by the Directorate of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of Nagaland.
“With the set up of EDC it will promote entrepreneurship and enhance the entrepreneurial eco-system and create a robust road map for the growth of entrepreneurs in Nagaland,” Director, IIE, Dr. Lailt Sharma, said in his address on the concluding day of the training programme.
The EDC shall be established in the BOT model where the centre will be build, operate and transfer to the stakeholder, it stated.
With industry and subject matter experts as resource persons, the ToT programme was attended by 19 participants from varied backgrounds and field of work from Nagaland. The five-day training for trainers consisted of an intensive curriculum developed by IIE. The participants also visited the Northeast Cane and Bamboo Development Council (NECBDC) and Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology (IIFPT) as a part of the ToT programme, it stated.
