Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman arrives in Nagaland on 3-day visit
Dimapur, Aug. 22 (EMN): Union Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs, Nirmala Sitharaman arrived at Dimapur airport on Monday to attend several programmes including Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Investment conclave and Bankers’ Meet in Kohima.
On arriving at the airport, she was received by Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton, MP Phangnon Konyak, ministers V Kashiho Sangtam and Metsubo Jamir, and advisors Zhaleo Rio and Tovihoto.
Deputy Commissioner of Chumoukedima Abhinav Shivam, Commissioner Police Rothihu Tetseo and other government officials were also present at the airport during the arrival of the Finance minister, acording to an update from DPRO Dimapur.
The finance minister and her entourage along with Nagaland ministers and advisors left for Kohima in a helicopter. She was received by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and other legislators including TR Zeliang, G Kaito Aye, Neiba Kronu, Tongpang and Kuzholuzo Nienu on arriving at the Assam Riffles helipad in Kohima.
During her three-day visit to the state (August 22 to the 24th), Sitharaman is scheduled to attend CSR) Investment conclave and Bankers’ Meet in Kohima and also visit a few places in Mon and Dimapur.
