Medical College: Application for NMC permission submitted

Kohima, Aug. 6 (EMN): Nagaland government on Saturday completed the online application process for approval from the National Medical Commission (NMC) in order to begin the academic session of the state’s first medical college.
The minister for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom on Saturday tweeted about the progress of the development with regard to the Nagaland Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (NIMSR) Kohima.
The online submission of the letter of permission (LoP) was done to start the first medical college from the academic year 2023-24.
Taking to Twitter, Phom stated, “I’m happy to inform that the online submission of application to the National Medical Commission to obtain Letter of Permission to start the 1st Medical College in the State-Nagaland Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (NIMSR) Kohima from Academic Year 2023-24 has been successfully completed.”
He exuded delight about the same and added, ‘One step closer to realising the vision and aspirations of the people of Nagaland!’
