Dimapur, Aug. 4 (EMN): Delhi Public School (DPS), Dimapur, organised a felicitation ceremony for AISSCE 2022 class 12 achievers on August 4 at the school assembly. Altogether, 49 students securing 85% and above were felicitated.

An update from the school stated that four students, who secured 96.6% to 97.8% and 13 students who secured 90.0% to 94.8%, were given cash awards of INR 25,000 and INR 15,000 each respectively.

Ashmita Mazumder of Arts stream topped the overall school record with 97.8%, while Sushant Jain and T Temjenwabang scored the highest percentage from Commerce and Science Stream with 97.2% and 91.0% respectively. A record number of nine students scored 100 marks in Geography, Accountancy, Business Studies, Painting and Physical Education, it stated.

The event began with a prayer said by Aneikele Mero of class 12, while the school principal, BK Nanda, welcomed the student achievers and the parents and also highlighted the exceptional result of the students despite two years of uncertainty posed by Covid pandemic.

Nanda stated that Delhi Public School Society is the only organisation that has a human resource development centre (HRDC) that focuses on training and equipping teachers to deliver the best to the students.

Dr. Aotoshi, pro-vice chairman, also spoke about the success of DPS Dimapur and also highlighted about the dynamic eco-system that exists in the school.

The felicitation ceremony also witnessed enthralling performances by the dance club and the choir of DPS Dimapur.
