Dimapur, July 15 (EMN): Minister of PWD (Mechanical and Housing), Tongpang Ozukum, inspected the ongoing construction of community hall in Yaongyimti Old and Yaongyimti New, which is being undertaken from the funds provided under the Iconic Project initiated by government of Nagaland, on July 14.
The concept of ‘iconic projects’ was introduced by Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, during the presentation of 2021-22 state budget in February, stated an update from the press secretary to the minister.
It stated that accordingly, each member of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly could take up ‘iconic projects’ under LADP annually as per the specific actual needs in each constituency,
The minister was accompanied by officials from NDPP Angetyongpang AC under NDPP Mokokchung region.
Later, NDPP officials and the minister also interacted with the village council leaders and party members in Yaongyimti Old, Yaongyimti New and Phangsang.
