NFR resumes freight services between Lumding-Badarpur hill section
Dimapur, July 13 (EMN): Freight train services were resumed between Lumding-Badarpur hill section on the night of July 12 after it was breached and damaged by landslides and water logging.
A Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) update informed that a train loaded with sugar left Jirania station near Agartala from Daotuhaja station, while another train loaded with steel coils left Manderdisa for Bhairabi station in Mizoram.
It may be mentioned that both railways and roadways in the district of Dima Hasao, Assam got damaged owing to incessant rain. As a result, NFR has started running freight trains with essential and non-essential commodities for the affected areas.
NFR is also all set to resume passenger train services as early as possible during the current month itself.
