The Director of GethemGo Sports International, Dr. Viposa, said in his keynote address that the mini football tournament was started “to inspire the upcoming generation with our passion for football”.

GethemGo Sports International wants to inspire the younger parents to see sport as a healthy and beautiful game while also to inspire the communities to engage in investing and creating opportunities for the younger generation, he said.

‘We want to create a platform for the younger generation for outdoor learning opportunities of life skills and we want to promote our academy, to impact those who share the same passion to dream of developing and creating academies for the younger generation,’ he added.

“Believe it or not, there is a game even bigger than football, it’s called Life. Life is beautiful with football. We are committed to be a life coach to the upcoming generation,” he continued.

Speaking during the opening ceremony, special guest Kevilenuo Solo, Deputy Director of Directorate of Municipal Affairs, lauded GethemGo Sports International for organising the tournament.

She said the tournament not only enhances physical activity but also take sports as a medium of sharing gospel- the love of Christ in a world where the kids are glued to mobile phones and other gadgets. She also appreciated the parents for bringing their children to the event.

Maintaining that football has lots of benefits, Solo advised the children to work on their physical strength as well as mental health and social skills instead of sitting at home.
