Nagaland: BJP minority morcha celebrates SP Mukherjee birthday

Dimapur, July 6 (EMN): Nagaland state BJP minority morcha celebrated the 121st birth anniversary of nationalist leader, Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, at Gamadi Vidya Bharati School, Dhansiripar, on Wednesday. Dr. Shyama Prasad was founder president of Bhartiya Jan Sangh, forerunner of BJP.

BJP minority morcha, in a press release, stated that Atul Rajiyung, the chief guest of the celebration, exhorted the students to follow the ideals of Dr. Mukherjee, who was a great leader and academician.

BJP IT cell in-charge of minority morcha, Pradip Kumar Jain, gave a talk on the life history of Dr. Mukherjee.

The birthday celebration programme was chaired by Tikaram Dhakal, state secretary.

Earlier, the officiating president of minority morcha, RS Panesar, and other dignitaries paid floral tribute to the late leader.

On the occasion, a short quiz on the life of Dr. Mukherjee was also organised and also planted 52 fruit-bearing tree saplings in the school premises.
