Presidential election 2022: Members of Nagaland Legislative Assembly informed on voting schedule

Dimapur, June 17 (EMN): In view of the upcoming Presidential election 2022, all the members of Nagaland Legislative Assembly have been informed that the polling will take place on July 18 between 10 am and 5 pm in the Conference Hall of Assembly Secretariat, Kohima.

On this, the Additional Secretary and Assistant Returning Officer, Presidential Election 2022, Khruohituonuo Rio, has asked the DEPCOM of all the districts in the state to inform the MLAs under their jurisdiction about the same and “confirm action taken by return signal”.

In a separate public notice, Returning Officer for the Presidential Election 2022, informed that nomination papers can be submitted to his office in Parliament House, New Delhi, between 11 am and 3 pm on all working days till June 29. It added that each candidate should deposit a sum of INR 50,000.

The filing of nominations had begun on June 15. The nomination papers will be scrutinised on June 30 and last day for withdrawal of candidature is July 2.

The election will be held on July 18 and result will be declared on July 21.
