Nagaland: Handloom expo gets underway in Dimapur

Dimapur, March 11 (EMN): The managing director of Nagaland Handloom and Handicrafts Development Corporation (NHHDC), Zakabo V Rotokha, inaugurated the State Handloom Expo at Urbaan Haat in Dimapur on Friday.

The expo is being sponsored by the office of the Development Commissioner and handlooms, Ministry of Textiles, India.

The NHHDC deputy project manager, Itoka Sumi, informed that the 14-day expo (March 11-24) was aimed at providing platforms to the weavers to sell their products and exhibit their traditional designs. He informed that there are total of 60 participants including 40 from Nagaland and 20 from other states including Assam, Manipur and Delhi participating in the expo.
