Dimapur, March 5 (EMN): College of Nursing at Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research (CIHSR), Dimapur, has been awarded Grade B by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) during the 1st cycle of assessment and accreditation.
College of Nursing, CIHSR, is the first and only college of Nursing in the state of Nagaland. Established only a decade ago, the College is second among the colleges of nursing in the North East of India to be awarded NAAC accreditation, an update from the college stated on Saturday.
A peer team constituted by the NAAC under the chairmanship of Professor M Pushpavathi Mariswamy, along with coordinator Dr. Geeta Parwanda and member Dr. Manju Chhugani, assessed the institute on February 24 and 25, 2022, and handed over the report to Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) coordinator, Bendangmenla Ao, and the college principal, Dr. Christy Simpson.
The peer team, while lauding the efforts of the young and dynamic faculty, emphasised on strengthening student centric innovative educational approaches and research activities.
