Nagaland reports nine new Covid-19 cases, 1 death

Dimapur, Feb. 23 (EMN):
Nagaland reported nine fresh Covid-19 cases on Wednesday, taking the state’s tally to 35,381, while the active caseload declined to 185 following recovery of 28 patients — 15 in Kohima, nine in Dimapur, three in Mokokchung and one in Tuensang.

The total number of recoveries has increased to 32,965 and the death toll to 750 with one fatality reported in the past 24 hours.

According to an update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, five positive infections were recorded in Dimapur, three in Tuensang and one in Phek.

Of the 185 active cases, 134 are asymptomatic, 47 mild, one moderate on oxygen and three in ICU on ventilator.

15102 new cases in India

India logged 15,102 new coronavirus infections on Wednesday, taking the tally of Covid-19 cases to 4,28,67,031, according to data from the Union Health Ministry.

The death toll climbed to 5,12,622 with 278 fresh fatalities, the data stated.

The active cases declined to 1,64,522, with the recovery of 31,377 patients in the last 24 hours.

With the administration of more than 33.84 lakh (33,84,744) vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 176.19 crore (1,76,19,39,020).
