Nagas were second-class citizens before NPF’s entry into Manipur — MLA Kuzholuzo Nienu
Dimapur, Feb. 17 (EMN): Team leader for Senapati division and veteran Naga People’s Front (NPF) MLA Kuzholuzo Nienu on Thursday stated that, ‘prior to NPF entry into Manipur state, Nagas were treated as second class citizens. But today with the entry of the NPF party in the year 2012, we the Nagas are treated with respect and dignity. Today Nagas are emotionally integrated through politics and that politics is in the form of NPF party’.
He was speaking at the election campaign for Manipur polls in 47 Karong Assembly Constituency, Senapati on Thursday.
Stating that the regional cock party was installed on Oct. 21, 1963 for the ‘national cause and national issue’, he highlighted that the party was formed out of sweat, blood, and tears, when the Nagas were going through the most difficult time.
“Mr. O Ibobi Singh will be continuing as Chief Minister if he was not belittled by the Nagas for humiliating and mistreating the Nagas, he lost his chair and leadership”, he said.
Stating that NPF is the identity of the Nagas, he added that the dream is to live together as one family and it is only the NPF party, which can bring Nagas under one umberella.
BJP should change it double standard approach and attitude towards NPF, they want NPF in Manipur and the want to keep their distance in Nagaland, what is this? It should be take it or leave it completely, he added.
Stating that no party will be able to form the government in Manipur, he highlighted that NPF will be the kingmaker and urged Nagas to vote for the NPF.
