Dimapur, Feb. 16 (EMN): The newly appointed advisor of Information and Public Relations and Village Guards, S Keoshu Yimkhiung visited the directorate of IPR in Kohima and held a meeting with the officers on February 16.
In his address, Keoshu briefly highlighted his life’s journey and his tenure working in the School Education department. He narrated that he and Toshi Wungtung, former advisor of IPR, belonged to the same village and expressed belief that his appointment as the advisor of IPR was God’s plan to accomplish the works left behind by the former advisor, a DIPR report stated.
He stated that he has come to the department not as a boss but as a family member saying, “I am the advisor, but you should advise me as we take the department forward even if it is for a few months.” He has sought cooperation and expressed the desire to work together as a family.
The director of IPR, Z Tokishe Sema, while welcoming the advisor, assured full cooperation from the officers and staff of the department. He also briefly explained the history of the IPR department, staffing pattern, different departmental sections, and the gist of activities undertaken by the department and the tasks ahead.
