11th Lotha Football Championship underway in Wokha

Dimapur, Jan. 28 (EMN): The 11th edition of the Lotha Football Championship (LFC) 2022 organised by the Wokha District Football Association (WDFA) got underway with Mhondamo Ovung, chairman of Lotha Hoho as the special guest at local ground Wokha on Jan. 28

Addressing the players during the opening ceremony, Ovung congratulated WDFA for organising the tournament and creating a platform for the youngsters to expose their talents, a press release informed.

He called upon the players to be disciplined, hardworking and dedicated to achieve their goals in life and encouraged them to take up sports as a profession and not just as a leisure pursuit.

The opening match of the tournament was played between XI Brothers and Old Aree Sporting Club, where XI Brothers won the match by a lone goal, which came from the boots of Along in the 32nd minute.

In the second match Lower “E” Khel defeated Longsa Sports Association 3-1, it informed.
