Dimapur, Jan. 26 (EMN): Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) has informed that many parts of Nagaland may receive ‘scattered patchy light rain activities’ till January 27 or 28.

NSDMA in a press statement on Wednesday informed that the weather would clear up thereafter.

It said that day and night temperatures would remain below normal until first week of February. Meanwhile, minimum temperatures in Kohima will remain between 4 and 6 degrees and maximum will be 16 to 17 ℃ until January 29. Thereafter, there will be a gradual increase, it read.

Moreover, it informed that significant weather activity is not expected until end of February.

‘Day temperatures will start increasing post February 10 and days will become comfortable and sunny. However, morning and night will remain cold over hilly regions especially Kohima, Phek, Tuensang and cool over plain areas such as Dimapur.

‘The present weather condition is due to cyclonic circulation over Bangladesh and also the western disturbances remnant from the Himalayan region, it read.
