Tritons Mokokchung to face LCYO in T20 WCC finals

Wokha, Jan. 16 (EMN): Tritons CC Mokokchung and LCYO will face each other in the final match of the T20 Winter Cricket Challenge after winning against their respective opponents in the semi-final matches at local ground, Wokha on Sunday.
In the first match, Tritons CC Mokokchung played against Royal Strikers Tsumang. Losing the toss, Royal Strikers Tsumang batted first and set a target of 102 runs in 18.2 overs losing all wickets.
Limathung Ngullie 19 runs, Ayush Agarwal 13 runs, Renben Murry 16 runs and Renben Shitiri 10 runs, scored for Royal Strikers Tsumang.
Neehal of Tritons CC claimed three wickets in four overs 23 runs, Mrimor Dutta claimed three wickets in 3.2 overs 10 runs and Arjun Kumar, Bidesh Nayak (one maiden), Vezale (one maiden) claimed a wicket each.
Tritons CC Mokokchung, in the form of Fahim Ahmed 19 runs, Nripen 26 runs and Arjun Kumar 25 runs, who was also the man of the match, took the team to victory by four wickets in 17.5 overs.
In the last semifinal match played between EYL vs LCYO, the former won the toss and decided to bat first.
Renjanthung scored 49 runs, Epithung 28 runs and Ajen Patton 14 runs, to reach the team total target of 126 in 20 overs losing seven wickets.
Karthick of EYL in four overs 25 runs claimed three wickets, Chumchamo in four overs took two wickets 25 runs, while Alamo and Anand Basumatry claimed a wicket each.
Renjamo 23 runs, Tsenpon Murry 22 runs and Anan Basumatry 14 runs could not help the team to secure the win, losing all wickets in 17.6 overs with just 102 runs.
Ajen of EYL claimed three wickets, David Yanthan and Chonbenthung claimed two wickets each and Thechamo collected a wicket.
LCYO registered victory in 17.6 overs by 23 runs, with Renjanthung Tungoe as the man of the match.
The final match of the T20 WCC between Tritons CC Mokokchung and LCYO will be played on Jan. 17.
It was informed that there will also be an exhibition match between DC Wokha XI Vs SNK President XI. The amount collected through the exhibition match will be sent to the Oting victims’, as informed by the organisers of WCC.
