T20 WCC: Hurricane CC, Blackcaps Tseminyu register wins

Wokha, Jan. 10 (EMN): Hurricane CC beat Dynamic Comrades Club at the ongoing T20 Winter Cricket Challenge by 42 runs in 18 overs at local ground, Wokha on Monday.

Winning the toss, Hurricane CC opted to bat first and scored 129 runs losing nine wickets in 20 overs. Mhabemo and Alamo Kithan of Hurricane CC contributed 28 runs and 19 runs for the team.

Dynamic Comrades Club could only gather 87 runs losing all wickets in 18 overs. Lumeer, the lone striker with 21 runs, could not help the team to reach the target.

Rhondemo of Hurricane CC in his four overs 15 runs collected four wickets while Renchio four overs nine runs collected two wickets. The man of the match was awarded to Mhabemo Murry.

Blackcaps Tsemniyu took on Lancer ‘B’ in the second match. Blackcaps Tsemniyu won the toss and opted to bat first scoring 156 runs in the 20 overs with a loss of seven wickets. Alisosang 65 runs and Along 29 runs contributed to the total team score.

Liremo of Lancer ‘B’ in four overs, 39 runs claimed three wickets.

Lancer ‘B’ was restricted to 90 runs all out in 16.4 overs. Hayithung and Nongothung Ngullie collected 15 runs and 13 runs respectively.

Alisosang from Blackcaps Tsemniyu in 3.4 overs claimed three wickets 16 runs while Along three overs 12 runs collected two wickets.

Blackcaps Tsemniyu won the match by 66 runs in 16.4 overs and Alisosang was adjudged the man of the match.

One Jan. 11 (Tuesday), Royal Strikers Tsumang takes on Salix Cricket Club in the opening match while PWD take on Tritons Mokokchung in the second match.
