Nagaland records single-day rise of 3 Covid-19 cases, no deaths

Dimapur, Nov. 8 (EMN): Nagaland recorded a single-day rise of three Covid-19 positive cases on Monday, taking the tally to 31,938, while active caseload dropped to 181 following recuperation of 13 patients.

The state last recorded single digit new cases on November 2 with nine infections.

The state’s death toll remained unchanged at 673 with no fresh fatalities registered in the last 24 hours, while the cumulative recoveries increased to 30,021.

According to an update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, three positive cases were reported in Dimapur, while seven patients in Dimapur, four in Kohima, and one each in Peren and Zunheboto recovered on Monday.

Out of 181 active cases in the state, 149 are asymptomatic, 19 mild, five moderate on oxygen, three severe on oxygen, and five in ICU on ventilator.

In terms of distribution of active cases, Dimapur has 91 active cases, Mokokchung with 30, 29 in Kohima, eight in Wokha, seven in Phek, five in Kiphire, four each in Tuensang and Mon, two in Peren and one in  Zunheboto, while Longleng is currently Covid-free.

India logs 11451 fresh cases

Meanwhile, India registered 11,451 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the country’s tally to 3,37,63,104, wile 13,204 recoveries pushed the total recoveries to 3,37,63,104, according to data provided by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

India’s death toll has increased to 4,61,057 with 266 fresh fatalities.

The country’s active caseload stands at 1,42,826, which is lowest in 262 days, accounting for less than 1% of total cases at 0.42%.

As many as 108.47 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far, according to the update.
