Assigning Mishra for Naga peace talks a good sign, says Lotha Public Organisation

Dimapur, Oct. 6 (EMN): The Lotha Public Organisation (LPO) has expressed hope that the Centre government’s representative for Naga peace talk, AK Mishra, will bring the Indo-Naga political issue into a logical conclusion.

While lauding Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for assigning the former special director of the Intelligence Bureau (IB) to take the peace talks forward, the LPO described the move as a “good sign” towards resolving the Naga political issue.

The organisation went on to say that Mishra has been given the monumental task to pick up the loose end of the Indo-Naga political talk as he knows the acrimony of the Naga issue.

‘Naga people are now confident that the vexed Indo-Naga political issue would have a smooth sailing and attain the much-desired results as Naga people’s yearning will be subsequently fulfilled,’ read the press release.
