Nagaland reports 17 new Covid-19 cases, 22 k in India

Dimapur, Oct. 3 (EMN): Nagaland recorded a single-day rise of 17 new Covid-19 cases on Sunday, taking the tally to 31312.
The state’s cumulative recoveries also increased to 29314 with 37 more patients having recuperated in the last 24 hours, while the death toll stands at 651 with no death reported in the last 24 hours.
According to an update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, eight positive cases were reported in Kohima, four in Dimapur, and one each in Longleng, Mokokchung, Mon, Phek, and Wokha.
Of the 37 new recoveries, 17 were in Dimapur, 14 in Kohima, three in Mokokchung, and one each in Kiphire, Longleng and Wokha.
Nagaland currently has 329 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 240 are asymptomatic, 67 mild, 11 moderate on oxygen, five severe on oxygen, three in ICU without ventilator, and three in ICU ventilator.
India reports 22k new cases
India recorded 22,842 new coronavirus infections on Sunday taking the total tally of Covid-19 cases to 3,38,13,903, according to data from the Union Health Ministry.
It said the death toll climbed to 4,48,817 with 244 fresh fatalities.
Meanwhile, the active cases declined to 2,70,557 with the recovery of 25,930 patients in the last 24 hours.
It stated that with the administration of 73,76,846 vaccine doses, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage crossed 90 crore (90,51,75,348).
