Nagaland reports 31 new Covid-19 cases, 28k in India

Dimapur, Sep. 26 (EMN): Nagaland recorded a single-day rise of 31 new Covid-19 cases on Sunday, taking the tally to 31,150.
The state’s cumulative recoveries also increased to 29,062 with 48 more patients having recuperated in the last 24 hours, while the death toll stands at 647.
According to an update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, 19 positive cases were reported in Dimapur, nine in Kohima, two in Tuensang and one in Mokokchung.
Of the 48 new recoveries, 21 were in Tuensang, 11 were in Dimapur, nine in Kohima, two each in Kiphire, Peren and Phek and one in Mokokchung.
Nagaland currently has 445 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 341 are asymptomatic, 80 mild, eight moderate on oxygen, seven severe on oxygen, three in ICU without ventilator, and six in ICU on ventilator.
India reports 28k new cases
India recorded 28,326 fresh Covid-19 cases, taking the nationwide tally to 3,35,31,498, according to data from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The country also reported 260 deaths in the last 24 hours.
The recovery of 26,032 patients in the last 24 hours increased the cumulative tally of recovered patients to 3,29,02,351.
It stated that with the administration of 68,42,786 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage crossed the 85 crore.(85,60,81,527).
