Nagaland records 25 new Covid-19 cases, no deaths

Dimapur, Sep. 9 (EMN): Nagaland’s Covid-19 tally has increased to 30,510 as 25 new Covid-19 cases were reported on Thursday.
The Health and Family Welfare Department updated that out of the 25 new cases, 10 were in Dimapur, seven in Kohima, two each in Mokokchung and Wokha, and one each in Kiphire, Longleng, Mon and Phek.
The state’s death toll remain unchanged at 620 with no fresh fatalities reported in the last 24 hours, while the total recoveries rose to 28,296 with 70 patients having recovered.
On Thursday, 21 patients recovered in Dimapur, 18 in Kohima, 10 in Mokokchung, eight in Zunheboto, seven in Phek, three in Wokha, and one each in Kiphire, Mon and Tuensang.
Nagaland currently has 659 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 503 are asymptomatic, 101 mild, 12 moderate on oxygen, 23 severe on oxygen, 11 in ICU without ventilator, and nine in ICU on ventilator.
In regard to the district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Dimapur leads with 327 active cases, followed by Kohima with 114, 101 in Mokokchung, 35 each in Phek and Mon, 13 in Zunheboto, 12 in Wokha, eight in Peren, seven in Kiphire, five in Longleng, and two in Tuensang.
43263 new cases in India
India reported 43,263 new coronavirus infections on Thursday taking the total tally of Covid-19 cases to 3,31,39,981, according to data provided by the Union Health Ministry.
It said the death toll climbed to 4,41,749 with 338 fresh fatalities.
Meanwhile, the active cases increased to 3,93,614 with 40,567 patients recovering in the last 24 hours, pushing the cumulative recoveries to 3,23,04,618.
It stated that with the administration of 86,51,701 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, the country’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage surpassed the cumulative figure of 71.65 crore (71,65,97,428).
