Nagaland extends existing Covid-19 lockdown by 2 weeks

Dimapur, Sep. 2 (EMN): The government of Nagaland has extended the existing lockdown measures and relaxations in the entire state till September 16.

The chief secretary of the state, J Alam, issued the extension order as Unlock-5 from August 19 to September 2 ended on Thursday.

He stated that the direction was issued in exercise of the powers conferred to him under section 22 (2) (b) and section 22 (2) (h) of the Disaster Management Act 2005, and as the chairperson of State Executive Committee.

According to the order, the existing lockdown measures and the relaxations for the various activities, as laid down in the previous directive issued for the entire state on August 18, will be extended for another two weeks, till September 16.
