Nagaland records single-day 74 Covid-19 cases, no deaths

Dimapur, Sep. 1 (EMN): Nagaland recorded a single-day 74 new Covid-19 cases on Wednesday, pushing the state’s tally to 30,157.
The state’s death remained unchanged at 606 with fresh fatalities registered in the last 24 hours, while the total recoveries rose to 27,838 after 76 patients recuperated.
According to data provided by the department of Health and Family Welfare, 47 Covid-19 positive cases were reported in Dimapur on Wednesday, 12 in Kohima, eight in Mokokchung, five in Phek, and one each in Longleng and Mon.
Out of the 76 fresh recoveries, 33 were in Kohima, 32 in Dimapur, seven in Phek, three in Mon, and one in Tuensang.
The state currently has 805 active cases, out of which 614 are asymptomatic, 134 mild, 17 moderate on oxygen, 21 severe on oxygen, nine in ICU without ventilator, and 10 in ICU on ventilator.
In terms of district-wise distribution of active cases, Dimapur leads with 346, followed by Mokokchung with 164, Kohima- 162, Mon- 31, Phek- 29, Zunheboto- 28, Wokha- 17, Longleng- 11, Kiphire- 9, Tuensang- 6, and Peren- 2.
India logs 41965 new cases
Meanwhile, India recorded 41,965 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the country’s tally to 3,28,10,845 and active caseload to 3,78,181, according to data provided by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Affairs.
It went on to inform that the death toll rose to 4,39,020 with 460 more fatalities registered on Wednesday.
India’s cumulative recoveries also increased to 3,19,93,644 at 97.51% recovery rate after 33,964 patients recuperated.
‘The weekly positivity rate stands at 2.58% and daily positivity rate reported at 2.61%,’ updated the ministry.
