Nagaland reports 54 new Covid-19 cases, 4 deaths

Dimapur, Aug. 15 (EMN): Nagaland reported 54 fresh Covid-19 cases on Sunday, taking the state tally to 29151 and active tally to 1224.

According to data from the department of Health and Family Welfare, Kohima reported 27 cases, Dimapur 16, Mokokchung four, Mon three and two each in Wokha and Zunheboto.

Meanwhile, 102 recoveries were also reported in the last 24 hours, out of which 38 were from Kohima, 38 from Kohima, 33 from Peren, 16 from Dimapur, six from Mokokchung, five from Mon, and two each from Longleng and Phek.

The death toll stands at 587 with four deaths reported in the last 24 hours.

India reports 36k cases

India reported 36,083 new coronavirus infections pushing its tally to 3,21,92,576, while the death toll climbed to 4,31,225 with 493 fresh fatalities, according to data from the Union Health Ministry on Sunday.

 It said that 3,13,76,015 people have already recovered from Covid-19 and 37,927patients recovered in the last 24 hours.

Cumulatively, 54,38,46,290 vaccine doses have been administered through 61,35,193 sessions while 73,50,553 vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours.
